Death metal / Hardcore band from Bronx, New York formed in 1993 by current vocalist Barry Ruiz. Combining his love of deathmetal & hardcore music into a blend called “Deathcore” or “New York Deathcore”, ahead of its time then and now considered an established genre in its own right. However, the “NYDC” sound Goatamentise created remains true to each of the elements it takes from. Opening for well known national & regional acts, Goatamentise established itself quickly in the early 90's. After many lineup changes in the late 90's early 2000's and eventual split up in 2007, a decision was made in 2019 to return. 2023 marked it's 30th non consecutive year as a band and is now working on NEW music for a new album.
