As a songwriter he's charted twenty-five times between 1981-1998. He co-wrote three #1 country songs: "Don't Worry 'Bout Me Baby" by Janie Fricke (1982) (co-written by Deborah Allen & Channel), " As Long As I'm Rockin' with You" by John Conlee (1984) (co-written by Channel), and "Can't Stop My Heart from Loving You" by The O'Kanes (1987) (co-written by Jamie O'Hara). He co-wrote three additional top 5 country songs as well.
