V. Garlic

Fake artist credited as a co-writer of Jimmy McCracklin's song "The Walk," It was later claimed in a DISCoveries article by Howard A. DeWitt that Garlic was a nonexistent person that Chess Records invented in order to appropriate half of the songwriting royalties that would otherwise be entirely owed to McCracklin.
