Edited 6 years agoThis record, in retrospect, was a rather sad way to wind down a brilliant career. The tunes are not so much songs as sketches, and hardly one lodges in your mind. Even as a 'Lab completist, I'd call this a rather inconsequential record that shows a band regrettably, but tellingly, out of gas. Three stars only out of respect for the team.

Don't agree with moshka-medicine concerning that valuable album of Stereolab.
I will add that on the first pressings the following single was included.

Did this definitely have a D/L voucher? I bought it new from a shop on the day of release (actually the day before 17th) and no voucher.

Not to speak ill-will of this band, but this album seems a bit abrupt, short and maybe even almost unfinished. Songs in general are alright however, but on a whole, perhaps not up to the rest of the albums standards. Maybe this is one of those ones that needs to grow on you..?
