      Sado Marquis and Special Ed ( of the band) speaking on this record:
      "We'd sneak them in (to record shops), it was like stealing but in reverse. We sent 'em to the White House, we sent 'em to Gacy in prison. Which we thought was a major big reaction, being called "sick" by John Wayne Gacy."

      "That Mentally Ill record is the best record ever. You can play that record today and you can still startle people with the crudity of that record. It's just unfathomable that someone would make that record intentionally, but they did."
