I own both this and the unfortunate 1976 US port version. It is fairly clear that the remix on the later North American reissues were compressed to thicken up the overall "heaviness" of later prog. While the original German mix presented here and on the other 1972 Europe releases is simply sublime - layered almost like a clean jazz album. Well worth getting if you want to hear how the album is supposed to sound.

Edited 4 months agoLow surface noise but annoying sibilance and light distortion on vocals. Drums on A and B1 also sound very boxy.

This sounds great don't have anything to compare it to but this is a great sounding album it's definitely a must to your collection
