Play this side at 33 1/3 rpm only.
Side B: We recorded this gong duet in our studio in New York City on the date and time indicated in the title. It is a section of a larger work: Studies In The Bowed Disc begun in September 1968. To listen to the live performance, playback at 33 1/3 rpm. However, this side may be played back at any slower constant speed down to 8 1/3 rpm, i.e., 16 2/3 rpm which is available on some turntables.

The first copy I bought had quite a few pops and snaps throughout the second half of Side 1. Got a second copy and it's perfect. Great to have this album made available again.

It's here and it's a great quality press. Nice shiny sleeve, poly- lined inner. Overall great package. Shipped direct from Superior Viaduct with no issues. -
Super quiet pressing, super impressed. Very clean out of the sleeve, looks like care was shown putting this together.

Pretty funny that a record commonly referred to as "The Black Record" is issued on clear vinyl :) -
Gotta say, pretty dang happy with this pressing. Young's music doesn't particularly lend itself to vinyl -- it's more suited to the low noise-floor and crystalline clarity of digital carriers -- but this pressing is quiet and well-centered, delivering the music without a lot of noise or wobble. While the poster is cool, I kinda wish some new notes had been commissioned, but at this point, with any recordings of Young's music being pretty scarce, I'll take what I can get.
