Anyone else getting these emails? I think it’s the third one I’ve had pushing back the release date. It’s from Music Glue in the UK. -
How is the sound of this pressing? Is it any better than the OG or earlier represses? I hate how much this cost to ship (thought it was in CDN and not USD), if it’s not amazing sounding I would like to move on from it. Thanks!

Looks gorgeous, was so excited for this pressing as a lifelong Michigander. The A-side of the first disc is a little crinkly sounding in quiet spots but over all I think this is a really nice pressing of an album even I'd kind of forgotten is a total masterpiece.
-
hands down the coolest looking variant, it looks MUCH better in hand, and the audio is INCREDIBLE!!!!! I bought all 3 editions and this one sounds the best

Edited one year agoUnacceptable level of crackle and pop surface noise that distracts from the quiet, sparse beauty of the music. The beginnings of all 4 sides are noisy messes and it is present throughout - even after cleaning with my Record Doctor. Looks lovely, but this is one of the worst jobs from Third Man Pressing that I own.

This pressing sounds excellent, a good example of the fact that vinyl doesn’t need to be heavyweight/180g to sound great
-
Absolute gorgeous discs albeit quite thin, and to be honest, I was definitely expecting higher quality packaging or some sort of hype sticker or banner printed on the cover itself indicating that it’s an anniversary edition with bonus tracks, but alas. Weird choice not to do so.
I’d grade the mastering an A+… wide soundstage, crisp and clear with rich bass. I’d give the pressing quality an A- because of some popping and clicking here and there, even after a double cycle in my ultrasonic cleaner. But it’s nothing intrusive and it’s quite minimal. Overall I’m extremely happy to have a copy of this album sounding so good. -
The discs and gatefold jacket are both noticeably thinner than the standard black pressing, but the discs are gorgeous and the sound is fantastic!
-
sounds fine! a few pops here and there but nothing crazy and they’d probably go away with a proper clean. easily one of the prettiest pressings in my collection, too. stunning.
