I enjoyed the isolated vocals, but not going to pay $35 for digital recordings on vinyl. This is a curiousity release and pressing on recycled and colored vinyl is risky for a "quiet" recording like this. Why suffer through surface noise and snaps and pops that will come later to litter the acapella? This is a digital "extra" or die-hard fan vinyl release. You can get $9.99 of 20 tracks (orig and isolated) at her website in the U.S.
That said, after watching a few "how we made this song" videos, I find it difficult to NOT hear her delivery as a digital collage, combining many takes of each song, sung 20 or 30 times to get it "right." No need for auto-tune. Selecting the best delivery and stitching them together sounds nearly as artificial. At least she didn't take 10 years to get the album done like David Sylvian DeadBeesOnACake... but I digress. I guess I'd prefer a rougher, fully sung version with some harmonies and effects added. Hope she does an "unplugged" session, stripped down to 3 or 4 instruments and her singing select songs start to finish. -
The vocals were NOT isolated in most of the songs, you get whispers throughout most songs, only songs that were well isolated were wildflower and birds of a feather. Its good to have for a Billie collection though

purchased on RSD; sounds really great! this pressing is perfect for following along on an instrument, of course! just a bit upset it didn’t come with the gatefold the repress has -
i love this record, but… you can hear some instrumental during lunch / chihiro. however skinny’s isolated vocals sounds heavenly. -

Wow, this sounds incredible. So crisp, clear and dynamic with no surface noise that I detected. I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy the isolated vocals but as a big fan and Hit Me Hard And Soft is such a phenomenal album, I decided to get the isolated vocals and so glad I did! -
gorgeous. im so happy that i have this in my collection. billie’s vocals are out of this world. -
It's stunning. This may be the way I enjoy this album for the next while. Pressing is decent
