Audio is pretty great, the live recording on digital was a good mix to begin with; nicely balanced crowd and good clarity even to all the spoken bits. So, similar to the At Their Very Best record from 2023, less like the Live at Gorilla RSD release. It's worth noting this pressing includes all the spoken and extended instrumental elements unlike the 2023 live album. Another similarity to that relase, is how compressed it can get, there's some definite inner groove distortion especially on the first side but nothing unbareable. This 132 minute album is still pushing the limits of it's triple LP release. There's minimal clicks, pops, and surface noise through out.
The discs look good, in whats become standard Dirty Hit clear vinyl. Another trend for The 1975's live albums is an adversion to gatefolds! Atleast, this time there's photography printed large on each side of the three inner sleeves, which gives the release more personality even if a tri-fold design could have been more stunning and practical. -
Record is gorge, plays super well and I like the individual record sleeves (despite no gatefold unfortunately, but expected for 1975 lol). But so bummed that my copy came with an extremely bent corner directly from Dirty Hit. I live internationally so way too much of a hassle getting a return. But they really need to up their packaging! ☹️
