This is hard core drum n bass - when drum n bass still drew samples and influence from jungle and hardcore - featuring jungle breakbeats, amen breaks, hoover synths and rave stabs and dark vocal samples and atmospheres.
This was the peak of the harder style of drum n bass before neurotech and dubstep had its mostly negative impact on the direction of the genre. Only for the headstrong, big up the front line crew who made it until the early hours stomping to the hard core beats.
