Let's talk about sound quality... this album sounds great! Low end is thick but tight. Mids and highs are crisp and clear. Nothing drowns anything out. Nice press!

The cover looks cool which is the only thing you are paying for. The songs are a complete abomination, second only to the atrocity that is the Peter Criss solo album

Edited 2 years agoThis was KISS' response to the rising tide of disco in the late '70s. The band adopted a new sound, a new look, and engaged outside songwriters. Ace and Peter had minimal participation here.
The obvious highlights are "I Was Made For Loving You" and Stones' cover "2,000 Man".
This was my childhood copy which I purchased at the record store of the week it hit the shelves. I ed it being a much better record, but listening with more mature ears, this one sucks.

Does anyone know if Dynasty was remastered on cassette, and if so, do you have a link to the information?

Dynasty is the album at the beginning of KISS' commercial struggle era or the trend following era. The classic era ended with the solo albums and at this point in 1979 the band was fractured. Peter Criss only appears on his own song Dirty Livin' and Ace plays bass and rhythm guitar on all his own songs. Paul brought in Desmond Child for some help and spawned one of KISS' biggest hits I Was Made For Lovin' You. Rock disco. I personally have no issue with Dynasty. It's a great album. KISS really works as a pop band, Sure Know Something is a brilliant pop song. Ace rocks on this album. 2000 Man is a strong track and Save Your Love contains one of his best solos. Gene hardly has any presence, only popping up twice on side 2. Still this is a strong record with a lot of underrated songs.
